A Sunset Key & Old Town Manor Event!

Weddings No Comments »

On July 9th Bex & Russell traveled all the way from England with their closest family & friends to get married on the beach at Sunset Key and party the night away at the beautiful Old Town Manor.  The bride & groom envisioned a beautiful English Garden wedding…..Mama Flowers designed a beautiful garden style trellis adorned with hydrangea, peonies & antique pink roses followed by a picturesque reception at the  Old Town Manor in the garden.  Christy Transier Photography was on site to capture each moment of this special day. The bride & groom arrived in style at the reception after a quick drive up Duval Street. In the back garden….each centerpiece was uniquely designed and different on each table.  The tables were designed with pink lamour table cloths and an overlay of antique lace provided by Linens in Paradise. The group partied late in to the evening to the tunes of Nicole Ashley’s Band.   Congrats or Cheers as you all say, to Bex and Russell.  We had such a great time planning your wedding and wish you both a life time full of happiness.

Amy & Chris were married on May 28th at the Methodist Church in Key West followed by a beautiful ocean front reception at the Hyatt Key West Resort.  The men started their day by getting ready at the house they rented on Key Haven and the ladies pampered themselves at the Hyatt with Lorri Bollander of the Key West Hair & Makeup Lounge.  The Historic Trolley transported the guests and the groomsmen to the church and the ladies arrived via Look Limo!  The ceremony by Pastor Ruben was beautiful and a great way for Amy & Chris to start their lives.  While the happy couple took photos all over Key West with Solaris Photography the guests were transported to the Hyatt Resort for the famous “Blue Mojito” cocktail and hors d’oeuvres.  The reception followed upstairs with accents of Tiffany Blue linens with beautiful sheer sequin overlays from Linens in Paradise and beautiful candle and seashell centerpieces from Milan Events.  The couple had an amazing day and Simply You Weddings wishes them all the best!

Adrianna & Ian’s Destination Key West Wedding!

I had a blast with this couple and their family from planning all the way up to the event! :)  We began the wedding weekend with a bar crawl hosted by the Southernmost Scavenger Hunt, followed by a sunset sail on the Fury Catamaran catered by Wine by the Water, and for the main event the couple chose a beautiful sunset wedding on the Sunset Pier at the Ocean Key Resort & Spa.  From reggae, to the Village People to the Caribbean Queen Junkanoos this group could party.  I have to say this was one of the largest bridal parties Simply You has ever seen….a conch shell blower, bell ringers, (6) attendants, bubble blowers, flower girls and a ring bearer….wow did we have fun!  Adrianna & Ian asked their Uncle Wes to marry them in a beautiful ceremony with their guests looking on.  The bride was stunning….Studio Marie Pierre did an amazing job.  The decor was designed by Mama Flowers with green and yellow accents.  The bride wanted a simple/clean look.  The pier was adorned with a clear top tent which made for such an incredible ambience in the evening.  John Hunter Photography and Soundwave Productions were their to capture every moment of this fantastic evening.  And for a sweet treat at the end of the evening Cakes by Karol provided some amazing desserts.

I wish you all the love in the world.  Can’t wait for your December visit!  Nemo and Molly will be waiting to meet Cabrinha.

Rebekah & Steve got married at St. Mary’s Catholic Church followed by a beautiful sunset reception at the Westin Key West Resort on March 13th.  They had the perfect day.  The bride was stunning!  I absolutely loved her dress…besides the elegance; it had pockets!  The bridesmaids all wore a raspberry colored dress, the accent color throughout the wedding.  Following the ceremony Rebekah and Steve drove themselves around for photos with John Hunter Photography Key West “style” in their own antique electric car.  The Westin staff let them drive the car all the way to their tent!  Fabulous!  The bride & groom had the most perfect sunset.  They danced the night away with Kevin Wright  - “Spyder” the DJ!  Congrats to Rebekah & Steve…I had so much fun helping you plan your amazing event.

Lisa & Jayson – Get Married in Key West!

Lisa & Jayson kicked off their wedding weekend in Key West with a themed sunset sail on board the Sebago Catamaran.  Everyone wore their most “random” t-shirt.  Great conversation pieces and a ton of fun.  Catering was provided by Wine by the Water!  Fabulous.  The couple got married at the Westin Key West Resort followed by a beautiful reception at the Audubon Gardens.  They had the best of both worlds; the gorgeous Key West Sunset and the tropical gardens.  The theme was centered around 3 different shades of blue and this fabulous graphic of a bird designed by Lisa’s bridesmaid.  She also designed all of the stationary.  AMAZING!  Lisa wanted an essence of vintage/garden throughout her reception. Mama Flower’s provided garden style floral with all white flowers to include; anenome mariachi lisiathus, white peony, sweet pea, brunia berries & sprigs of rosemary.  She and Jayson’s fun personalities matched amazingly with Heather Ahrens’ style of HA Photography.  The photos are beautiful and really capture their personalities and the life of Key West.  The bride & groom have are “HUGE” animal lovers, so in lieu of favors the bride & groom donated money to the ASPCA! It was a beautiful evening!  Congrats to Jayson & Lisa!

Joy & Patrick – Key West – November 14, 2009

Joy & Patrick are two of the most amazing people and I had the privilege of helping them plan their beautiful wedding day at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a reception to follow at Casa Marina a Waldorf Astoria Resort.

The Matron of Honor had the groomsmen’s pants designed and made and the Maid of Honor, Joy’s sister made the tables cloths, ceremony programs & placecards.  Two amazingly talented women!  Decor & Design was done by Mama Flowers, Key West Party Rentals and BBJ Linen.  We went with a Navy Blue, White & Cerise Pink as our color palette with accents of silver.  Key West Cakes did an amazing job with a replica of the linen design on the cake itself.  Marie -Pierre and team also did a great job in making the ladies look fabulous.

I had the opportunity to work with Shane Carpenter of Shane Carpenter Photography….WOW!  Truly talented and extremely easy to work with.  He captured Joy & Patrick perfectly!  I also worked with a new band that Joy & Patrick hired from Washington DC; The Source.  They were amazing and so entertaining.  The staff at the Casa Marina is still talking about them!  :)

Joy & Patrick; thank you for your friendship and continued support.  I can’t wait to see you September!
