Shannon & Josh got married at the Oldest House in Key West on Duval Street. They started their day with a first look at the Douglas house where all of their friends and family were staying. They had their beautiful ceremony on the brick patio, followed by a beautiful, tented reception on the lawn. Cantor Debbi Ballard from Fort Lauderdale officiated the beautiful ceremony that was combined with many spiritual readings and symbols. BEAUTIFUL! The bride & groom chose accents of yellow and white to accentuate their day. All floral was designed and provided by Mama Flowers. and Black and Skabuddah a local band in Key West provided great ceremony and reception music. Tracey Ahrendt Photography was their to capture each moment. Shannon wanted to surprise Josh with a special groom’s cake called Mr. Met….provided by Cakes by Karol. The evening was gorgeous and so romantic in the beautiful tropical garden atmosphere. Thank you Shannon for being such an amazing person and organized bride…I had a blast planning with you and can’t wait for your next visit to Key West! Congrats to you and Josh!
Amy & Chris were married on May 28th at the Methodist Church in Key West followed by a beautiful ocean front reception at the Hyatt Key West Resort. The men started their day by getting ready at the house they rented on Key Haven and the ladies pampered themselves at the Hyatt with Lorri Bollander of the Key West Hair & Makeup Lounge. The Historic Trolley transported the guests and the groomsmen to the church and the ladies arrived via Look Limo! The ceremony by Pastor Ruben was beautiful and a great way for Amy & Chris to start their lives. While the happy couple took photos all over Key West with Solaris Photography the guests were transported to the Hyatt Resort for the famous “Blue Mojito” cocktail and hors d’oeuvres. The reception followed upstairs with accents of Tiffany Blue linens with beautiful sheer sequin overlays from Linens in Paradise and beautiful candle and seashell centerpieces from Milan Events. The couple had an amazing day and Simply You Weddings wishes them all the best!
Rebecca & Troy got married at the Casa Marina Resort in Key West on April 23, 2010. Their wedding was simple, elegant and a ton of fun; very indicative of the couple! They had their ceremony on the beach followed by a cocktail style reception on the patio. Becca & Troy had their friend’s Dan Higgins photograph their wedding and Jeff Howell of the Poker Dogs provide the entertainment. The event was all about the celebration of Rebecca, Troy and their friends and family. Thanks for letting me be a part of your day; I look forward to the future and what it has in store for all of us!
I met Kristina, Israel and their beautiful son Colin about a year ago at the Westin Key West Resort. They both wanted something beautiful and simple on the water for sunset. They got married on the south pier followed by a reception under a tent overlooking the blue waters in Key West. Kristina wanted something a little more garden style while using a color palette of white, light blue and brown. We utilized the brown floral silhouette with accents of light blue lamour on the dinner tables enhanced by the white flowers designed by Milan Events. John Hunter Photography was there to capture the special moments and the story of their evening. Congrats to all of you! I had a blast working with you and wish you many happy years to come.
Rebekah & Steve got married at St. Mary’s Catholic Church followed by a beautiful sunset reception at the Westin Key West Resort on March 13th. They had the perfect day. The bride was stunning! I absolutely loved her dress…besides the elegance; it had pockets! The bridesmaids all wore a raspberry colored dress, the accent color throughout the wedding. Following the ceremony Rebekah and Steve drove themselves around for photos with John Hunter Photography Key West “style” in their own antique electric car. The Westin staff let them drive the car all the way to their tent! Fabulous! The bride & groom had the most perfect sunset. They danced the night away with Kevin Wright - “Spyder” the DJ! Congrats to Rebekah & Steve…I had so much fun helping you plan your amazing event.
Lisa & Jayson kicked off their wedding weekend in Key West with a themed sunset sail on board the Sebago Catamaran. Everyone wore their most “random” t-shirt. Great conversation pieces and a ton of fun. Catering was provided by Wine by the Water! Fabulous. The couple got married at the Westin Key West Resort followed by a beautiful reception at the Audubon Gardens. They had the best of both worlds; the gorgeous Key West Sunset and the tropical gardens. The theme was centered around 3 different shades of blue and this fabulous graphic of a bird designed by Lisa’s bridesmaid. She also designed all of the stationary. AMAZING! Lisa wanted an essence of vintage/garden throughout her reception. Mama Flower’s provided garden style floral with all white flowers to include; anenome mariachi lisiathus, white peony, sweet pea, brunia berries & sprigs of rosemary. She and Jayson’s fun personalities matched amazingly with Heather Ahrens’ style of HA Photography. The photos are beautiful and really capture their personalities and the life of Key West. The bride & groom have are “HUGE” animal lovers, so in lieu of favors the bride & groom donated money to the ASPCA! It was a beautiful evening! Congrats to Jayson & Lisa!
Jane & Kamal and their guests came from all over the world to celebrate at the Key Largo Hilton Grande. The ceremony was celebrated among the mangrove trees and beautiful sandy beach at the resort. The reception followed in the beautiful Treetop Ballroom where the group danced the night away to the Ruby Baker Band. The Indian Dance performed by the bride & groom and then a surprise dance by the “girls” for the groom was a true highlight. The decor was modern/chic and designed by Mama Flowers. The color scape was accentuated by apple green bengaline and white sparkle sheer linen from BBJ Linen. Susan Stripling Photography was there to capture every moment of this special day. The photographs are amazing! A true professional! Congratulations to Jane & Kamal!
Congratulations to Jeff & Rochelle! They were married on Sunday, December 13th at Fort Zachary Taylor beach and celebrated their marriage at the Ocean Key Resort & Spa. The bride & groom choreographed an amazing first dance that was so much fun to watch. The linen and decor were done with accents of apple green and espresso brown….and don’t forget the bows; a favorite of the bride!
