Mike & Jen were married at Ocean Key Resort on May 21st on the Sunset Pier. Studio Marie Pierre and her team were on site for hair & makeup….Jen was stunning! John Hunter Photography and his team were on site to ensure every moment was captured. The couple were married at the end of the pier by Rev. Randy Becker and the reception followed under a beautiful white tent. The bride wanted something fun and colorful, so we used a mango lamour table cloth covered with a sheer Parisian Stripe overlay provided by Linens in Paradise. The additional elements of decor were accented with lantern lighting and beautiful tropical floral accents provided by Mama Flowers.
Courtney and Frank got married at Ocean Key Resort & Spa on Saturday, June 19th. What an incredibly gorgeous and elegant bride Courtney was! Rachel Absher Photography did an amazing job capturing each moment of the day. The bride & groom spent time with Rachel prior to the ceremony, doing a First Look in Key West in some very unique locations. What an incredibly classic and elegant way to capture the bride in groom in Key West.
Courtney & Frank’s decor and design were very simple and classic. They wanted accents of turquoise & dark brown with essence of the sea with a classic starfish look. We used a turquoise crush linen with accents of chocolate brown in the linen and chiavari chairs, and white in the starfish & tent linen. An amazing accent to the beautiful Gulf waters on the Sunset Pier at the Ocean Key Resort and the Key West Sunset.
I had a blast with this couple and their family from planning all the way up to the event!
We began the wedding weekend with a bar crawl hosted by the Southernmost Scavenger Hunt, followed by a sunset sail on the Fury Catamaran catered by Wine by the Water, and for the main event the couple chose a beautiful sunset wedding on the Sunset Pier at the Ocean Key Resort & Spa. From reggae, to the Village People to the Caribbean Queen Junkanoos this group could party. I have to say this was one of the largest bridal parties Simply You has ever seen….a conch shell blower, bell ringers, (6) attendants, bubble blowers, flower girls and a ring bearer….wow did we have fun! Adrianna & Ian asked their Uncle Wes to marry them in a beautiful ceremony with their guests looking on. The bride was stunning….Studio Marie Pierre did an amazing job. The decor was designed by Mama Flowers with green and yellow accents. The bride wanted a simple/clean look. The pier was adorned with a clear top tent which made for such an incredible ambience in the evening. John Hunter Photography and Soundwave Productions were their to capture every moment of this fantastic evening. And for a sweet treat at the end of the evening Cakes by Karol provided some amazing desserts.
I wish you all the love in the world. Can’t wait for your December visit! Nemo and Molly will be waiting to meet Cabrinha.
Melanie & Tony exchanged vows with Rev. Steve. Torrence on the Ocean Terrace at the Ocean Key Resort & Spa followed by a reception under a beautiful white tent on the Sunset Pier. The colors were turquoise and black with floral accents designed by Mama Flowers of white and antique hydrangea, sweet pea and peonies. The wedding cake designed by Key West Cakes was coordinated perfectly with turquoise ribbon. The bride designed a festive walker for the adorable flower girl, who was just learning how to walk. Melanie was gorgeous in her stunning gown, with a perfect hair accessory of feathers & sparkle. Limelight Photography did an amazing job capturing the details of the day. The photos are amazing. Congratulations to Melanie & Tony. Simply You wishes you many years of happiness and love.
Adam & Valerie got married at the Marriott Beachside Resort on April 16th with their toes in the sand. The evening was perfect. John Hunter Photography was their to capture each moment of the day. The ceremony was followed by a cocktail reception near the Cabanas; poolside followed by dinner and dancing in the elegant indoor ballroom. The bride wanted everything designed with black and turquoise. We chose a beautiful Floral Silhouette from BBJ Linen with accents of turquoise in the napkin & chair ties. The floral was designed in all white by Mama Flowers creating a classic tone. The bride ordered customized champagne flutes that were waiting at the entrance of the reception for each guest filled with champagne and adorned with their placecard. Her cake was beautifully designed by Cakes by Karol. The group had an awesome weekend. They decided on a very casual rehearsal dinner at the Conch Republic Seafood Company and finished the weekend with a poolside brunch at the Beachside.
In conjunction with the post about Old Town Manor the very talented Marcela Morgan was their to capture every moment of their wedding day. The couple exchanged vows overlooking the Gulf of Mexico at the Garden Club or West Martello next to the old walnut tree. Their evening continued with a plated dinner and dancing in the beautiful backyard garden at the Old Town Manor. Congrats to Erin & Tomas! Enjoy their video!
Jeremy and Lucy were married on the beach at The Hyatt Key West Resort on a beautiful April evening. It could not have been a more perfect day. Our typical perfect April wedding weather. After the ceremony, the wedding guests retreated to the Marquesa Room overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The room was accented with elegant smoky purples & adorned with beautiful lanterns in the vaulted ceiling. The bride & groom decided to hit the town for some candid Key West Photos. The talented team of John Hunter Photography was their to capture each moment. They also were able to capture some unique photos on the Hyatt property. After returning, their best man Mike, knew he had to give a toast to the happy couple. Little did we know, he had arranged with the kitchen to make toast!! He presented the bride and groom with a freshly toasted piece of bread and they all danced the into the night. Congratulation Jeremy an Lucy it was such a pleasure being a part of your special day.
Jennifer & Scott are Key West local’s and got married on March 10th at the West Martello Garden Club. The ceremony took place on the top of the hill at the Gazebo overlooking the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. The girls wore a unique color of teal and were accented by Love in Bloom’s design of blue’s, yellows, oranges, purples & whites. Sangria & cocktails followed by the almond tree with food provided by Wine by the Water. The dinner took place in the courtyard adorned with accents of teal, silver and romantic candle light. The Garden has so many unique little areas for each facet of an event. Each moment was captured by the talented John Hunter Photography. An amazingly easy couple to photograph; BEAUTIFUL! Studio Marie Pierre did a fantastic job enhancing the beauty of these three sisters; WOW! Jenn & Scott thank you for the opportunity to be a part of your special day.
Joy & Patrick are two of the most amazing people and I had the privilege of helping them plan their beautiful wedding day at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a reception to follow at Casa Marina a Waldorf Astoria Resort.
The Matron of Honor had the groomsmen’s pants designed and made and the Maid of Honor, Joy’s sister made the tables cloths, ceremony programs & placecards. Two amazingly talented women! Decor & Design was done by Mama Flowers, Key West Party Rentals and BBJ Linen. We went with a Navy Blue, White & Cerise Pink as our color palette with accents of silver. Key West Cakes did an amazing job with a replica of the linen design on the cake itself. Marie -Pierre and team also did a great job in making the ladies look fabulous.
I had the opportunity to work with Shane Carpenter of Shane Carpenter Photography….WOW! Truly talented and extremely easy to work with. He captured Joy & Patrick perfectly! I also worked with a new band that Joy & Patrick hired from Washington DC; The Source. They were amazing and so entertaining. The staff at the Casa Marina is still talking about them! :)
Joy & Patrick; thank you for your friendship and continued support. I can’t wait to see you September!
