Brooklyn & Matt’s Key West Destination Wedding

This was one of our favorite weddings this year. Brooklyn and Matt were an amazing couple to work with and get to know throughout the year Simply You had the pleasure of planning their wedding. Both from the Chicago area, the couple wanted a fun, elegant and laid back weekend in Key West. We had an action packed weekend planned for this awesome couple. We started with a welcome brunch for close friends and family at the Rooftop Cafe. Later that evening, we hosted their welcome reception at Grunt’s Bar with catering provided by DJ’S Clam Shack. The groom brought some amazing wines (sommelier) to enhance the evening and the dinner. The wedding day was hosted at Ocean Key Resort & Spa. The bride had 3 inspiration colors (yellow, ice blue & coral) that we utilized in the bridesmaid’s dresses as well as throughout the decor, linen & floral. The couple wanted a French/Country look meets Key West! We had a blast designing this party. Wine Boxes, romantic flowers, unique lighting, and bright linens all provided by Milan Events. The couple loved food, so something unique was definitely in order. The chef at Ocean Key designed a fantastic menu and the groom paired various wines featured at tasting bars throughout the reception. I had a blast planning this event! Michaela & Michael’s Key West Destination Wedding

Michaela & Michael were married in Key West this past July. They celebrated their ceremony at Fort Zachary Taylor Beach followed by a beautiful reception at Ocean Key Resort & Spa. You could tell by the energy this group was out to have a great time and enjoy every minute. The reception took place underneath a gorgeous white tent accented with tiffany blue linen and gorgeous white flowers provided by Mama Flowers. This couple finished out the night in true form with a “dip” in the resort’s pool. JHunter Photography was on site to capture each moment.

Bethany & Jeff’s Key West Destination Wedding

Bethany and Jeff were married this past October at The Ocean Key Resort & Spa by Sue Hyde at the water’s edge overlooking the sunset on the Gulf of Mexico. The event was designed mostly by the groom, Jeffery. The clear top tent was decorated with orange and blue paper lanterns, while the tables were covered with royal overlays and orange accents. Talent, the agency of choice, provided all of the music for the evening; a single guitar for the ceremony, a duo for cocktail hour and DJ services for the group to dance the night away. The Ocean Key completely out did themselves with the food as usual! Enjoy the photos compliments of Hannah Hunter of Jhunter Photography.

Hannah & Pepe’s Destination Wedding in Key West!

Hannah and Pepe were married this June at The Ocean Key Resort and Spa. It was a fun filled event with lots of friends and family. The bride wanted each of her bridesmaids to express their personalities by wearing different color and designed dresses. Love in Bloom designed gorgeous flowers to accent each ladies unique dress design and color. Hannah wanted everything to be bright, elegant & vibrant. The pier reception was adorned by a clear top tent filled with blue and green paper lanterns for lighting. Their DIY Centerpieces were vibrantly painted nautical items that perfectly fit with the water that surrounded them. Key Lime Pies on a stick by Kermit’s Key Lime Shop, were butler passed by the staff in lieu of a traditional wedding. JHunter Photography was on site to capture this gorgeous event.
