Great things come in small packages, and Ellen and Aaron’s small destination wedding on Little Palm Island was no exception. With a smaller gathering they were able to go big with the quality and design of their special day.
The day before the wedding was a day of fun as guests arrived. The day culminated in a leisurely sunset sail with Sebago in Key West catered by Great Events.
Ellen and Aaron’s wedding day kicked off with the usual deliveries while Ellen and her ladies prepared. The professional team at Studio Marie-Pierre arrived to glamorize Ellen with a beautiful updo and luscious lashes and lips. Limelight Videography and Ambrosio Photography each arrived to begin capturing the day’s events. And flowers from the impeccable Avant Gardens were delivered, including a fantastic bouquet of vendela roses, pink garden roses, light pink majolica spray roses and white blooms filled in, with accents of seeded eucalyptus and a collar of sallal greens.
The always anticipated First Look took place a short time later with Ellen and Aaron. You can see how happy they are, how young they are, the nerves and the pent up energy. It was all precious as they looked forward to the big moment.
The ceremony began on Little Palm’s Front Beach with acoustic music by Chad Burtch in the background. A positively stunning wedding canopy by Avant Gardens filled the view with a circular floral suspended with white dendrobium orchids cascading. With the ocean filling the view from behind it was the perfect picture.
A cocktail reception received the newly minted Mr. and Mrs. Fleetwood with Caribbean conch fritters in mango habanero remoulade, bahn mi (crispy pig ears), avocado tempura mini tacos and kobe beef carpaccio. The setting was magical with ornate centerpieces and accents in gold.
Dinner was even more magical, with golden candelabras, more cascading florals, clusters in gold cache pots and gold beaded tulle overlays at the tables – it was pure grandiosity. Dinner was a great success with features such as coconut lobster bisque, filet mignon and moulard duck breast. It was topped off with a delicious cake from Cakes by Karol, three tiers of pure happiness from red velvet to chocolate to rum cake, each with a unique cream filling.
So small can be as big as you dare to imagine. For Ellen and Aaron, once you have the people you love around you, the sky is the limit.
